Success for the Symposium on antibiotic resistance in bioaerosols - the NSERC Discovery Frontiers Project 2019
The Symposium on antibiotic resistance in bioaerosols - the NSERC Discovery Frontiers Project 2019 was a great success. A day and a half of presentations, exchanges, discussions and round tables enabled all participants to enrich their knowledge and share their diverse experiences.
We also witnessed the touching unveiling of a plaque commemorating Dr. Yvon Cormier's contribution to the development of bioaerosol research. The Groupe Duchaine lab will now bear his name. A legacy worthy of Yvon.
Special thanks to our guest speakers:
Simon Otto (School of Public Health, University of Alberta) who made the trip to give us a rich, dense and highly instructive lecture.
Abia Akebe Luther King (Antimicrobial Research Unit, College of Health Sciences, University of KwaZulu-Natal) who, thanks to technology, was able to share with us a dynamic, assertive and thought-provoking presentation.
Finally, we would like to extend our warmest thanks to our partners:
Institut universitaire de cardiologie et de pneumologie de Québec-UL
Réseau de recherche en santé respiratoire du Québec
Centre de recherche en infectiologie porcine et avicole FRQNT
