Collaborator

Luc Trudel is currently "Responsable de travaux pratiques et de recherche” at the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Bio-informatics at Université Laval. He has been in this position since 1978. Over these many years, he had been involved in the development of several microbiology courses for the department as well as for other programs, from journalism to education, and he managed the undergraduate laboratories of the microbiology program while updating them as needed. He also served on the "Comité d’accréditation des laboratoires d’analyse” of the Quebec's Ministry of Environment for over 15 years. He actively participated in departmental research by collaborating and publishing with several researchers. He has been a member of numerous supervision committees for graduate students from several different departments of the Faculty of Science and Engineering and dedicated a good part of his time and energy to make microbiology accessible to a wider public. His expertise is in environmental microbiology and he will collaborating to Aim 3, dedicated to recovering the maximum number of bacterial species from air samples.
