Collaborator

Patrick O’Shaughnessy is a professor at the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health at the University of Iowa. He has authored 68 articles and two book chapters. He has conducted research in a wide range of scientific areas in both occupational and environmental health. Most germane to this application is his research on the dispersion of gases emanating from swine rearing facilities in the Midwest United States. This research involved the use of an atmospheric dispersion model, AERMOD, which is approved for dispersion modeling by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He is an expert in exposure assessments of airborne contaminants, both gases and particulates which will be useful for completing the aims of this research. He will be in charge of aim 4d.
