Dr. Marie-Lou Gaucher is an assistant professor in the pathology and microbiology Department at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Université de Montréal. A veterinarian by training, her research focuses on the characterization of the impact of sustainable animal production practices on animal health, human health and food safety, with an emphasis on the development and implementation of control strategies for the zoonotic bacterial pathogens associated with these practices. More specifically, her research activities aimed at a better control of Salmonella and Clostridium perfringens in poultry production, at the animal and human health interface. She will be in charge of aim 2e in Québec.
